Sean Patton stars as “Markie Hillridge,” the gym teacher and athletic director at Morrison-Hensley High. Markie is an affable but cocky Texan who considers himself an alpha male. But he can be surprisingly kind and resourceful, often helping Evan out of jams. He’s confused and annoyed at times by the changing world around him and has a habit of over-simplifying things. He has a soft spot for Gwen… maybe even a little bit of a crush.

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Sean Patton is a comedian, writer, storyteller and performer based in New York.

As a stand-up, Patton has appeared at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs (JFL) Chicago, JFL Toronto, JFL Montreal (2008, 2010, 2012, 2016, 2018), Moontower Comedy Festival, RIOT L.A. Comedy Festival, High Plains Comedy Festival, SXSW, Outside Lands Festival, Dublin International Comedy Festival, New York Comedy Festival, Bonnaroo and Nashville Comedy Festival. He premiered his critically acclaimed show Number One at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017 and returned in 2019 with his show Contradickhead at the Gilded Balloon.

Patton has appeared on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Conan (2011, 2013) and Late Night. His Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents episode and debut album were released in 2013. Additionally, he can be seen on @midnight (2014, 2015), The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, This Is Not Happening (2015, 2016, 2017, 2019), What’s Your F@#king Deal?! and VICELAND’s Flophouse and Party Legends. On-screen, he can be seen on IFC’s Maron, Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer and truTV’s Those Who Can’t.

Patton’s second album, “Scuttlebutt,” was released December 2019, and his third album, “King Scorpio,” was released in December 2021. His first hour-long special, Number One, executive produced by Michael Che, premiered on Peacock in December 2022. The corresponding album was released in the summer of the following year.

In 2023, Patton accompanied David Cross on his “Worst Daddy in the World” tour spanning 66 cities, six countries and two continents. He is set to hit the road with Cross again as part of his 2024 “The End of the Beginning of the End” world tour. Most recently, Patton completed production on the series pilot Nighttrippin’, which he created, starred in and produced.

Comedyschools.com is the longest-running comedy workshop in the Valley. Now in its twenty-fourth year, Comedyschools has seen its students go from the very first class to national television. Kelly Ryan started stand up at the age of 17 in NYC. While getting her B.S. in Communication Studies from Texas Christian University, she performed improv for four years and taught the art form for three. At TCU, she got to open for SNL’s Vanessa Bayer and Aidy Bryant, as well as NBC’s Retta and BJ Novak.

Since moving to LA in 2016, Kelly can now be seen performing on any given night. Her “home club” is the iconic Hollywood Improv and she is in development at The Comedy Store.

During the pandemic, Kelly moved to Portland where she continued standup when possible. In August of 2021 she was named the winner of the Portland’s Funniest Person competition at Helium Comedy Club.

This year, she can be seen headlining and featuring for acts like Anthony Jeselnik, Bert Kreischer, Whitney Cummings and more.

This year, Jonathan Kite can be seen starring in the film “Needle Little Christmas,” with Sara Waisglass and Thomas Lenon, which he is producing and in which he also makes his feature screenwriting debut. Most recently he appeared in the Netflix comedy series, "Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!" opposite Jamie Foxx. Kite shined as Johnny Williams, Brian's (Foxx) best friend since childhood, and an honorary member of the family. The series, inspired by Foxx's real-life relationship with his daughter Corinne, is currently streaming globally on Netflix.

Kite may be best known for his starring role as the hilarious and lovable Ukrainian cook Oleg in CBS' long-running, award-winning comedy series "2 Broke Girls" opposite Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs. The show, created by Michael Patrick King and Whitney Cummings, ran from 2011-2017 and was nominated for 12 Emmy Awards and four People's Choice Awards.

Kevin Nealon is an Emmy and SAG-nominated actor and comedian who sets himself apart from other comedic performers with his unique sense of humor, dry wit and likable demeanor. Nealon is best known for his nine-year stint as a cast member of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, and received critical acclaim for his role in the hit Showtime series Weeds. Bryan Callen is an American actor, comedian, and podcaster. He is most known for his role as “Coach Mellor” on ABC’s SCHOOLED and THE GOLDBERGS. Pete Lee was the first standup comedian to get a standing ovation on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This happened after Jimmy personally attended one of Pete’s live shows in NYC and immediately invited him on the show. Pete’s joyful humor comes from his Midwestern roots. Raised in Janesville, WI by divorced parents and a 19-inch television, he was destined to pursue a career in entertainment. In 2005, Pete flew to New York to make his television debut on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, and the taping went so well that he decided to move to NYC. Soon after moving to NYC, he was selected to perform at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, where he was voted a standout performer. In 2008 Pete made his network television debut performing on NBC’s Last Comic Standing finishing as a semi-finalist. That same year, he made his television acting debut on the CBS Soap Opera As The World Turns. At the end of 2008, he shot his own Comedy Central Half Hour Special, which earned him a cult following at comedy clubs, and the opportunity to perform over the next ten years at 500 colleges across the country.

In 2010 Pete began producing and editing his own shows for the Internet which led to getting his own web show on MSN.com called New York Minute:30. His web shows attracted the attention of television talent scouts and in 2012 he was hired to be a writer and cast member on FUSE TV’s Video on Trial and the NFL Network’s Top 10’s. In 2013, Pete was hired as a cast member on VH1’s Best Week Ever, where he was a writer and cast member for three seasons. That same year, he made his late night television debut on CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman.

Currently, Pete is a cast member of TruTV’s Greatest Ever and he hosts his own segment on Nickelodeon’s Nick Toons, in co-ordination with the NFL, called NFL Rush. He’s also a regular on TruTV’s Comedy Knockout and Comedy Central’s Roast Battle. And he starred in a documentary titled I Need You to Kill that is now available on iTunes and Amazon.

Kristin Key grew up a minister’s daughter in a small town in West Texas. Much like Footloose, she was raised in a no-drinking, no dancing, no instrumental music environment, so she immediately took up drinking, dancing and playing an instrument. Proving that the almighty has a strange sense of humor, Kristin came out of the closet at 15. Needless to say, it did not go well. So, Kristin decided to “take it back”, retreat back into the closet, and try a little harder to be straight.

At 19, while in college to become a paramedic, Key signed up for an open mic at the local comedy club. As soon as she got onstage, she felt right at home. Though her observations and wit made her a local favorite, she remained in the closet, fearful of losing her local fan base. Small shows in the Texas panhandle turned into 35 states worth of comedy over the next 5 years. Audiences couldn’t help but love Kristin’s original comedy songs and rapid fire style of comedy coming from the “Preacher’s Kid” — and although female comics struggled to find work as she started out, she was booked not for being a woman, but for simply being funny.

When NBC’s Last Comic Standing held their auditions in Austin, Texas, she stood in line hoping for a chance to be seen. Now a massive star in Ireland, native New Yorker, Des moved from Queens to Ireland in his mid-teens in 1990. He first came to prominence with his extraordinary TV series The Des Bishop Work Experience (2004), where he lived on minimum wage in a series of different jobs in Ireland. Mixing this documentary footage with stand-up, the series became one of the most talked-about of the year, and propelled Des into national stardom. In 2006, he embarked on his second critically acclaimed TV series, Joy In The Hood, where he taught stand-up comedy in disadvantaged areas in four major Irish cities. Another hugely successful live tour followed including invitations to the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and the Melbourne Comedy Festival in Australia.

Des’s most recent project took him to Beijing, China in 2013 to learn Mandarin and he has been living there for the past 18 months. He is now fluent and the show, Breaking China, was another major hit for broadcaster RTE in 2014 and he also made a half hour radio documentary about the rise of Stand Up in China for the BBC World Service called “Stand up for China”.

His live show again opened at the Edinburgh Festival where he played to over 5,000 people and included an invitation to perform at the Soho Theatre in London and a return to Barrow Street in New York.
